Chicago Home Gets a Bold Exterior Upgrades with Black Trim, Windows, and More

Project Overview

After coming out of a historically cold winter, these Chicago homeowners wanted to begin renovations in the spring, but needed to work with a company who could meet them where they were and help simplify the process from start to finish.

They partnered with POWER to revitalize several areas of their home’s exterior. The homeowners could focus on making the selections that worked best for their home and style, while POWER handled the details behind the renovation.

The project brought a bold new look to the home while improving its comfort, efficiency, and durability. POWER replaced 35 windows and two exterior doors, along with updating the home’s gutters, soffit, and trim.

The Challenge

These Chicago homeowners wanted a fresh start for their home without taking on the headaches that can often come with managing a large remodeling project.

The Solution

POWER installed 35 impact-resistant windows, two new exterior doors, and updated exterior trim elements. Together, the upgrades gave the home a more modern, unified appearance while also supporting its overall efficiency, durability, and curb appeal.

The dark finishes continued the black detailing used across the windows and exterior accents, helping the individual upgrades feel like part of one cohesive transformation.

Exterior Trim and Gutters

To complete the exterior refresh, POWER updated the home’s soffit, fascia, porch soffit, trim, and gutters. Black trim and gutters helped frame the home and tie together the darker window and door selections.

These finishing details may be smaller than windows or entry doors, but they can make a significant difference in creating a polished exterior and highlighting the home’s architectural features.

The Result

The completed project gave the home a sharp, sophisticated new look. Black windows, doors, trim, and gutters complement the existing stone exterior while emphasizing the strong architectural lines of the house.
