So why are we out and about in your neighborhood? Well, we understand that exterior home remodeling isn’t the most exciting thing to spend your time looking into. But we know how important it is to the value of your home, so we take a bit of a proactive approach—if we are working in the area, we may introduce ourselves and offer free estimates or information.

The Power warranty guarantees you the cost of labor for any repairs or replacements for as long as you own the home. Period.

The product warranty covers damage or defects to the products and is transferrable to the next homeowner if you ever sell your home. Even though our products are exclusive to Power Home Remodeling, they still are still warrantied by our partner manufacturers.

You should always reach out to us to facilitate your claims.

First of all, congratulations! Second, good news: Transferring the warranty is easy.

1. Give your project number and paperwork (which can be found on Project Pulse or by calling Customer Care), to the new homeowner.

2. Let them know they need to contact us within 30 days of taking ownership.

3.  Power will facilitate the rest. There’s no paperwork or cards to fill out, we’ll just speak to the new homeowner and take down some information.

Once you receive approval, your lender will email your account details along with contact information.

Some of our lending partners allow multiple projects to be combined under one installment loan within a predetermined time frame. Others offer standard installment loans which would require a separate monthly installment for each project.

Payment in full is always due upon substantial completion of the project. If using our monthly payment option, the first bill will be due no sooner than 30 days after installation.

We accept all major credit cards as a form of payment.

Your pre-installation inspector will prep you for the steps you need to take for your specific project. If you are unsure, you can always call our Customer Care department for help.

It’s up to you, but it will be loud throughout the day, so if fireworks, thunderstorms, and other loud noises make your pets uneasy, it might be best to arrange a spa day for them on the day of our install.

If your animals will be staying in the home, please keep them in a secured room. We will be in and out of the house, and if you have a window or door project, we will be opening up the exterior walls. If they are roaming around, there’s a chance they could get out.

No. We clean up everything until you are completely satisfied.

No. Project Pulse is a web app not downloaded directly, so it will not take up space on your device.

Yes. Each homeowner may receive their own link.

It works on both Apple and Android products, phones, tablets, and desktop computers. Basically, everything except your microwave.

Yes. Your link is sent using a secure encrypted Internet connection so it cannot be accessed by any third party. However, if you share your link with someone else, they will be able to see your information.

Yes. All of your projects will be tracked via the same Project Pulse link.

Yes. Click on your name under the menu and change the language to Spanish. (Haga clic en su nombre debajo del menú y cambie el idioma a español.)

Yes. Pulse works with most screen reading apps.

First, double check that both the bottom and top sashes are closed all the way. Then make sure you’ve got the locks in an unlocked position when you are closing the window. Last, double check that the interlock on the back of the spacers was not accidentally engaged.

All of our Double Hung Windows tilt in and you can remove the sash from each of our slider windows for easy cleaning.

Use warm water and dish soap for the vinyl.

Use glass cleaner for the glass—spray onto a rag or paper towel, not directly on the glass.

Half screens can be rotated out of frame as long as the slide bolts are pulled in to disengage screen frame from window frame.

Full screens are held in with compression springs, so push the screen to the left side in order to free up the opposite corner, then drop the top out of the frame.

Sometimes temperature swings affect door hardware and the door and deadbolt can feel less aligned. Follow these steps to knock it back into place:

Lift up on the handle while closing the door to get it aligned if it’s a vertical issue

If aligned but not engaging, put pressure on the slab while closing to get the deadbolt

There is a Federal Solar Rebate available to homeowners in all 50 states through 2032 who purchase and install new solar panels in their primary or secondary home.

If your solar panels don’t produce enough energy, your home will make up the difference using energy from the grid.

Yes, but depending on the cloud cover, they may perform at 10%-25% capacity.

No. Our system is built to accommodate all four seasons, so all winter long the power of the sun will let you binge-watch your favorite shows with microwave popcorn while doing the laundry.

It depends on the condition of your roof. Installing your solar system on a roof that needs to be replaced is a costly mistake, so we always provide a roof inspection during our consultation. We never install solar panels on roofs in poor condition and if yours needs replacing, we’d do so prior to installing the solar panels.

No. You’ll still be attached to the grid so that your home will still have a source of energy if your solar panels aren’t producing enough. Sometimes this happens when there is an unusually warm or cold month or if the headcount in your home increases. That means you will continue to get a bill from your utility provider.

Yes and no. Solar panels make electricity from the sun so during daylight hours you will be running on the power of the sun. However, you would also need a battery to draw the power for darker hours.

The real estate market is hard to pin down but a widely cited 2019 Zillow study showed that homes with solar panels sold for 4.1% more than those without. With energy prices on the rise, that number is sure to go up.
